Regional Conferences (1-day)

Our Regional Conferences have been so successful, we are adding a third conference to our list. The 1-day Regional conferences are similar to our Annual Statewide Conference but located around Texas with fewer sessions and other activities.

Medical Education Program (MEd.)

TxP2P provides a medical residency educational opportunity for Pediatric and Family Practice Residents and other medical professionals to learn more about the global affects of having a child with a chronic illness or disability in a family. To provide a glimpse of family life, a diverse group of trained volunteer parents invite residents into their lives to experience first-hand how they meet the challenge of raising a child with special health care needs. Simultaneously, our volunteer families learn more about how doctors and other professionals develop early in their careers. Through this opportunity, TxP2P hopes to foster communication skills that create collaboration and mutual respect between patients, families, doctors, and other treating professionals as well as improve care for all children with special health care needs.
